Happy Rosh HaShanah!

This is the beginning of the days of awe in the Jewish calendar ending with one of the holiest days of the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur. These are days of introspection, repentance and reconciliation with God and man. Check out this link for more information!

What's weird is that Ramadan and Navaratri also start on (practically) the same day--the 23rd. I know those crazy Jews think a day begins at sundown and all that, but the rest of the world knows differently, now don't we. Sun comes up--day begins. It's obvious. Sun goes down--now that means it's night time. Mm-hm.

whenever i see the word yom kippur i think of two things.

kissyfur and brendan radke.

and that sounds even weirder than when it's in my head.
